Last night we sold the hubs Ford Ranger. It is a bit sad to think about. It was his first truck, his first vehicle, that he paid for all by himself. We owned it free and clear, but it was time to move on to something a little bigger.
Things I will miss about the Ranger:
- how loud it was - the hubs changed the exhaust system and you could hear him coming a mile away. I never had to look out the window to see if it was him pulling into the neighborhood, I just knew from the sound.
- the light bar - the hubs made his own light bar across the top of the truck and I just loved the way it looked (true story: before we were together he took off the light bar and I got super upset about it).
- the color - the ranger was black while the new F150 is {barf} dark red/maroon/omg close to garnet.
We purchased a new truck awhile ago so it was time for the Ranger to go just so we could get the money back in our bank account. Once the hubs put his mind to it and got going, it only took 5 days to sell! The second person to look at the truck offered us what we wanted. Score!
