snips and snails and puppy dog tails

Yesterday I had my 20 week ultrasound at the doctor's office. The previous two ultrasounds were done by my friend Kristen so I was excited to see what the doctor had to say.

Everything turned out beautifully. Everything looks wonderful with no reason for concern. The hubs and I were so excited to see and hear our perfect baby boy. That's right, it was also confirmed that we are having a little baby boy!

I won't lie. Part of me was hoping for a little girl so I could cover her in pink and bows but then I started looking up baby boy clothing. Oh the sweetness!

I think I'm going to have just as much fun dressing our little man! Unfortunately I couldn't start the shopping right away as I had to return to work. I did get to tell all the ladies at work about our little boy and Maria was by far the most excited. She was the only one to guess boy while all the others guessed girl.

After work the hubs had a little surprise for me. He gave me a little something for the baby {well mostly for me hehe}.

it says bananas over mommy

The last surprise of the day made me cry. I've always believed that my grandmother has been watching over me from Heaven, but on this day I could actually feel her. I just know she is protecting our little boy until he arrives safe and sound. How do I know this?

I received this card in the mail. I know it looks like any card to you, but to me it was a sure fire sign.

This is the first painting she ever created for me. It's a replication of the above card and something she had done when I was very young {maybe 4 or 5 years old}. The sender of the card would of had no idea and never made this connection in a million years. I know this was her way of making her presence known. It makes me cry just thinking about it, but they are happy tears. i promise.

last minute is the best minute

There's nothing like coming home on a Friday from a long day at work to your husband asking, "want to go to the beach for the weekend?"

Uhhh...yes please!

We headed to Myrtle Beach and met up with our friends Daniel and Dana. It was the weekend of Ds for sure!
