Quinn is eight months old

Dear Quinn,

We have survived another month ha! With all of the changes going on around you, you have done wonderfully and adapted quite well. This Friday will be another big change as we move into our new house {and get you back in your own nursery}!

You must be a growing boy because we've added another round of solids after your 9 o'clock bottle. We added blueberries, strawberries, pineapple, and mango to your food list. Mama really needs to start balancing out all of the fruit with some veggies! The plan is to try roasted cauliflower and green beans next.

We introduced you to Gerber puffs and while you weren't sure at first, they are quickly becoming your favorite. I think you like they way they seem to melt in your mouth. We are still working on you being able to pick them up and put them in your mouth on your own, but you are very very close!

Same clothes size as last month although you certainly look bigger to me. You are on the medium snap length in your cloth diapers with two snap rows open around your tummy. The diapers have been going just fine and I'm happy to report no extreme blowouts or diaper rashes! More and more of mama and daddy's friends are going to use cloth diapers on their babies. You are a trend setter little boy!

Your bedtime is still 8 o'clock and you sleep until 6:30-7 in the morning. You take one really good nap after your 12 o'clock feeding and normally don't wake up until your 3 o'clock feeding. This makes it a little hard to go do things because most of our friends would love to see you in the afternoons, but I know you are much happier when you get your nap so we do our best to make sure you can sleep the whole time.

You are so close to crawling! You have started to army crawl a bit and something that I can only describe as doing the worm. You push up on your hands and rock up and down trying to scoot closer to whatever toy is out of your reach. Daddy has been out of town this past week and he told me you aren't allowed to crawl without him there to see so hold off just a little while longer!

The days of sitting in the bumbo are numbered! You have taught yourself to dig in your heals and move the entire bumbo backwards. I'm not sure where you think you're going, but you want to get there by any means possible! Once we get into the new house, dinner time will be in your high chair instead. You shouldn't be able to get into too much trouble there ha!

The kitties have finally realized you aren't going anywhere. Both Sophia and Waldo have even let you "pet" them before. They will walk up next to you and you grab their fur haha. I make sure you are gentle though. I'm sure they'd like to snuggle next to you in your crib if I let them!

Daddy and I love you to the moon and back. You are such a blessing in our lives.

Love,
Mama
