Mrs. B: How's the diet/working out routine going?
Me: Umm it's not...cause I haven't started. Lame I know. I have no excuses, just shame...
Ugh...another reminder that I have no will power at all. I want to be skinny, I really do (who doesn't), but I'm totally lame and don't stick to anything. I have tons of workout DVDs and videos (yeah I started this BS a while ago), a yoga mat, the Windsor pilates ring, an exercise bike, wii fit, and the like. I've joined gyms, myfooddiary.com, and asked friends and family for advice. No progress. In fact I just keep gaining weight.
When will I actually commit?!? Perhaps tonight...

December 5th continued
So I promised myself I would write about the Clemson game even though it was totally crappy. Ok, it wasn't totally crappy. It was amazing and exciting and holy-crap-hold-your-breath-we-might-win awesomeness...up until the last two minutes...then it was crappy.
I don't care what people say but I love a Clemson football game that is close. Boo to the people that want a blow out cause those are super boring. I have a short attention span and don't really like football so being at the game is hard enough, at least make it interesting. This game was interesting. It was fantastic. I actually paid attention the entire time! And then we lost.
Now we have the Music City Bowl in Nashville. Ugh. I'm not looking forward to this. Last time we went I spent the entire bus trip home getting sick. It was horrible. No roasted peanuts for this girl!
Here are pictures. Enjoy!

December 4th
I've been in a Ryder truck for almost five hours now and I'm starting to get annoyed. The hubs and I are driving the equipment truck for Tiger Band down to Tampa for the ACC Championship game. While Tiger Band got to fly on two chartered planes just for them (ugh hate you) we get to drive the 3,273,597 hours (and when I say 3,273,597 hours I mean 10).
We left last night after I got off work and drove up to Clemson where we had to crash the band banquet (insert awkward moment where every girl is in a cocktail dress and I'm in jeans and a turtle neck) to get the keys for the truck and gas money from Dr. Spede. We stopped at Danny's sisters house to drop off my car and talk with Kathy and see bug (my niece Ashley -- I've been calling her bug since she was three. I have no idea why).
After a stop at Walmart we were on the road around 10:30ish. We drove (and when I say we I mean the hubs) to Macon, GA and arrived at a hotel at 2 in the morning. Looks like Danny working nights has paid off because his clock was already set to be up late at night. Mine on the other hand was not. I had passed out, sorta, for maybe an hour in the truck but as soon as I hit the bed I was a gonner.
Today we got back on the road and we've been driving since. Luckily I'm married to a technology wizard of awesomeness because I've been able to play on the computer with internet access the entire time. Love you hubby!
Since we're in a Ryder truck we have to stop for gas at truck stops because 1) we need diesel and 2) high speed pumps are necessary unless you want to pump gas for the next four hours. While there are lots of truck stops they're not exactly every five miles like regular gas stations. As Danny begins to realize we need gas this is what happened:
Hubs: We need gas. Google the nearest Pilot sweets.
Me: *searches* Nearest one is 50 miles away.
Hubs: Ok try Travel Center.
Me: *searches* It's behind us.
Hubs: Damn, try Wilco.
Me: *searches* Doesn't exist in Florida.
I end up putting the address for the Pilot into the GPS. Once I finish I see a rest stop.
Me: How about we stop at the rest area and see if there is any info?
Hubs: Nah they'll only have hotels and restaurant coupons probably.
Me: *pause* Ugh fine be a boy and don't ask for directions.
Hubs: Ok, I won't. *smiles*

November 28th
The Clemson vs Carolina game. Yes we lost. Yes we played terribly. Yes I'm over it. Are you? This game really was horrible and horrible in a boring kind of way. After halftime I was so completely over it I wished I could have walked out. Maybe it has to do with the fact that by this time of year I am completely footballed out. I can only pretend so long. Here are some pictures from the day:

I thought my brother might be in this general area...still not sure if one of them is him

Yes - Danny and I were the "crazies" that set the alarm for 4 am to go shopping on Black Friday. It was my first black friday shopping experience and it wasn't as crazy as I thought it would be. Maybe it's the economy, maybe people just always over-exaggerate. Anyway, we went and it was fun.
Since I've been drawing a huge blank on what to get Danny for Christmas I put the offer on the table to go get the flat screen tv he has been wanting for the living room. We found a 32" at Best Buy for $300. We also got a bunch of movies for $4 and some Christmas presents for family and friends. We ended the shopping trip with the purchase of our two Christmas trees.
When we got back to the house I was completely ready to crash. Four hours of sleep just wasn't going to do it for me. Danny (of course) had to move all the tvs around to put the new one in its new home. Once everything was settled we both took a nice long nap.
After a little rest we went to get my parents' dogs, BJ and Sam, who were spending the weekend with us while my parents went out of town. I love those dogs but boy are they stubborn. We played musical beds about a million times and BJ refused to eat the entire time he was at our house.
Later that night I started decorating the trees but I'll do a separate post on all of that jazz.

By the time we hit snooze, showered, and actually got out the door this was our start time

November 26th
Thanksgiving this year was pretty simple. We had a late lunch at my parents house that was oh-so-yummy. It consisted of baked honey ham with pineapple, roasted turkey, mashed potatoes, gravy, sweet potatoe casserole, carrots in butter sauce, cranberry sauce, stuffing, rolls, chocolate muffins, and pecan pie -- for five people. Unfortunately my brother wasn't feeling well so after we ate he went back to bed.
It seems almost unfair how long it took my mom to cook this wonderful meal and then how fast we consumed all of it. We did sit around and talk for a little bit but nothing like what I remember from when I was little. I loved going to my memere and grandpa's (my mom's parents) house and being around the chaos that was my extended family. I miss those days of having everyone close. Now I have family in Massachusetts, Tennessee, Florida, and Hawaii. How's that for spread out? Sometimes it makes me want to have a large family so we'll be able to recreate the fun that I grew up around. Not sure Danny would go along with that though haha.
